This Assam tea from India is a grade of tea commonly used for Chai known as ‘Cut, Tear and Curl (CTC)’, heavily rolled black tea leaf with very low moisture content. This tea is rich and malty and may remind you of an Irish Breakfast tea. It is also ideal for boiling - the traditional way to make Chai.
